San Francisco, CA: July 21, 2025 – MarkScout will exhibit at an Internet policy exhibition and reception on Capitol Hill, an event that brings technology companies together with Congressional staff and agency officials.
The exhibit will show how brand abuse reaches consumers: fake online stores, cloned apps, impersonation on social media and fraudulent domains. It will also explain how the contractual DNS abuse requirements that have applied to registries and registrars since April 2024 work in practice.
MarkScout will provide examples of how industry cooperation with platforms, registrars and law enforcement removes harmful content, and where gaps remain.
“Policymakers often ask what actually works. We will show cases from our own programs, with the evidence, the process and the outcome,” says Daniel Hartley, Chief Revenue Officer at MarkScout.
